New Gem for me in the neighborhood! I randomly selected this place from Google looking for brunch with a friend! Oh, I was impressed by everything the ambiance, the staff, the low crowd and the fantastic food! I had the salmon and grits with shrimp added. I ate every bite 🥹 I will definitely be back soon! I can't say enough about this experience. Truly top tier with reasonable prices and excellent service and food!

A great brunch place in Clawson. We came in on a busy Saturday morning for a quick brunch with friends. We had a really great meal and a great time. The place is small but they do a really good job with the space and it has two bars! They have a decent brunch menu, a nice lunch menu, and a lot of other things including a lot of alcohol. Everything we had was absolutely delicious. It looks great. It tasted great. Can't complain about any of the food. The service was also excellent, our waitress made suggestions on the menu was on top of refills. It was generally incredibly friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
I went here with no idea about the place but everything I got was amazing. 100/100!! The staff were so kind, and even just the other folks in the restaurant. The food??? It’s like if Ratatouille came to life frfr. 1 million stars. 😌 also the beignets are delicious, a bit bigger than I imagined, but they offer 2 or 4 soooo… up to you, future customer!
What a pleasant surprise. We have been to other restaurants that have occupied this space in recent years, and we're less than impressed, so our expectations were not great. We walked in and the place looked awesome. We were able to get a booth after a short wait and we're greeted by our server Mohamed. Very personable guy with some great recommendations. I started with a Bloody Mary, and my wife a Raspberry Mimosa. Both were very tasty! I ordered the Lobster Omelet with Cheesy Grits & Debbie got the Crab Cakes Benedict with Cheesy Grits. Everything was really fresh and REALLY GOOD. Finally a restaurant at this location that we will return to.
The atmosphere was nice. Bright and clean. We had the lobster omelette and the catfish and grits. Everything was prepared great and tasted delicious. KiKi was an amazing and knowledgeable server! The price wasn’t bad either.
Amazing Experience at French Toast Bistro! From the moment I walked through the door, I was treated with nothing but kindness and exceptional service. Even though it was reservation-only, Lisa the manager welcomed me and allowed me to dine in, which I truly appreciated. My server, Destiny, was absolutely darling warm, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed. The atmosphere was lovely, the hospitality was outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. I will definitely be back! Highly recommend French Toast Bistro in Clawson for a great dining experience. 💛 What great birthday lunch and wonderful first time dining here! HIGHLY RECOMMEND 🥰
Had a great brunch at French Toast Bistro in Clawson today. We tried the Arcadian Benedict, the Cajun Hash, and the daily special French toast — everything tasted fresh and delicious. The flavors were well balanced and the portions were generous. A special shoutout to Mohmad, who recommended some of the dishes and made sure our visit went smoothly. He was attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, we really enjoyed the food and the service. Definitely a place we’d come back to for brunch!
Christine was our waitress, very hands on when needed. Muhammad was keeping the tables clean after patrons left. I didn't like the grits because they came with cheese. My mistake ordering without seeing the menu. I was very disappointed because the grits are homemade grits . Their is a speak easy in back I believe Thursday - Sat. Fills up fast I would definitely make a reservation, due to limited seating. I understand wagyu steak is on the menu. French toast is too die for...enjoy
My friend and I had such a great brunch here today. We loved the French toast offerings. The raspberry mimosa and espresso martini were excellent. I liked that they offer two sizes for the mimosas (I opted for the larger one lol). Even the sides of red skin potatoes were cooked perfect. They have a coffee bar as well as a regular bar so they’ve got all tastes covered. Our server Kiki was the best! She was so friendly, answered our questions, and gave great recommendations. Truly everyone we interacted with from the moment we walked in were so nice. It was refreshing to visit a place where everyone was so welcoming and started our day off on a positive note. This was our first time trying this location (I had been to the one in Plymouth before) but I’m so happy they’ve opened a location much closer to where I live. I’ll be returning and recommending it to all my friends!
